Amanda Network

Anti-Bullying Campaign

This is a photo of Amanda Brownell taken when she was a 16 year old Junior in High School. On December 11, 2008 she tried to take her life in a bathroom at Del Mar High School in San Jose, California due to the bullying, sexual bullying and cyber bullying she endured through MySpace, Facebook, AIM and the 3500 text messages she received the month before her suicide attempt. The Amanda Network has an opportunity…
L’Oreal Paris has awarded Ann Brownell, the founder of the Amanda Network, the prestigious honor of Women of Worth for my volunteer efforts with The Amanda Network, Anti-Bullying Campaign. As a recipient, our network has been awarded $10,000! We are so excited about this amazing recognition and this prize will be so useful for our campaign.  As one of the 2011 Honorees, Ann will be honored publicly at an award ceremony in New York City on December 8, 2011.

We need your help!
Now our network has the opportunity of winning an additional $25,000. There will be a public online vote for National Women of Worth beginning November 7th. I need your vote to help the efforts of “The Amanda Network, Anti-Bullying Campaign”. Winning an additional $25,000 donation means that Ann would not have to cut purple fleece scarves herself, and it would allow her to write two books, Amanda’s Story and How to Treat People with Special Needs.
