Cambrian Park

 United Methodist Church

We have an AMAZING Joint Youth Ministry!
Cambrian Park has partnered with Almaden Hills and Willow Glen United Methodist Churches to establish the Joint Youth Ministry under the direction of Lisa Jacobs and Katrina Kraynick. Check out the Joint Youth Ministry website for ALL the current info!

Our Vision-
LOVE GOD. LOVE OTHERS

Our Mission Statement since 2003:
The Joint Youth Ministry exists to create a safe place for young people to grow in their knowledge of who they are and who God is. Our desire is that they cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and that their spiritual gifts are encouraged, affirmed and celebrated in their youth group family. We seek to equip youth with the tools necessary to continue on a lifelong journey within the body of Christ.

Implementation of vision
We implement that vision practically by focusing on
Relationships- With God, consistent small group and adult leaders leaders, mentors for students and peer to peer community building.
Intentional Programming- Diverse range of events and consistently reevaluating the needs of students.
Service- Understanding the people in our community, our city, our state, our country and the world by practical and hands on service and a willingness to be listeners who learn and grow.
The Joint Youth Ministry is a combined group of youth from three United Methodist Churches in San Jose. We have all sorts of activities throughout the month.
  • Sunday Nights- 5pm-7pm- Junior High and High School Youth Group (separate youth groups, meeting at the same time with small groups based on age with consistent leaders all year long)
Wednesday Nights- 6:00pm-8:0pm- Spiritual Development groups
A. Guys night/Girls night (Gender split groups, games and growth),
B. Feed the Need (cooking class and meal making/delivery for those struggling),
C. Wacky Wednesday (Faith and skill building)
D.  Leader Pour-in (student and adult leader training time)
Other special activities are added monthly.
The JYM rotates  to meet at a different church every other month. Check the calendar for all the details!
